BUT WHY ARE WE MAKING HUMANOID ROBOTS? SERIOUSLY!

I really don’t understand why robots and the people working in robotics want to create humanoid robots. I mean, seriously, you have something as flawed as a human and you say, ‘Let’s replicate it.’ But why?
We could literally make robots with ten arms simultaneously and 20cm fingers, so they could even grab that coffee you forgot you had! We could create hovering spheres that would fly around us with one eye and watch instead of the smart cameras at traffic lights that keep tickets like top-secret mysteries since they don’t connect them anywhere. And we could give them a self-security system so the Hungarians can’t break them. We could really do a thousand other things than a robot that walks like me after a Milko and a cheese pie, and then gets dizzy and falls down. I truly don’t get it.
